I understand what you’re trying to say, but you chose some bad examples. What they’ve been doing to erase indigenous cultures and communities in Greenland is obscene. Also, Denmark had West Indian colonies, in St Thomas, for example. Serbia literally tried to wipe Albanians from the face of the earth through colonial genocide.

The problem is that colonialism is an ongoing process that has more to do with countries, like today’s Poland, setting themselves up as white supremacist states for the sake of domestic and international political power (I would recommend reading Anne Applebaum’s Twilight of Democracy for more on this).
